World Meningitis Day

Meningitis can occur at any time of the year, but it is most common in the winter months. It occurs when there’s inflammation of the membranes covering the brain and spinal cord. It can be often mistaken for many other diseases such as malaria, flu or even COVID19, but it can kill in a matter of hours. So, it is important that we are aware of the signs and symptoms from the earliest opportunity. Catching it early on can allow you time to seek medical advice and treatment from you Doctor.
