PUPPET MAKING

Puppets help develop creativity in young children, firstly through the process of making, and then, in the subsequent playing and storytelling,  which are great for fuelling imaginative play and building vocabulary.

They can be made from a few simple, cheap, everyday items, making them an ideal activity for parents and children to create together.  Puppets can easily be linked in with stories, events, seasons, and children’s special interests. We have pulled together some ideas for making a variety of simple puppets which could be used in workshops with parents and easily made at home!
