RISE NI will facilitate a session on, “Building Blocks for Development”.

The aims of this session are:

to provide an overview of child development
to explore child development across language and communication, motor skills, self-care and independence and social and emotional well-being
to discuss how early brain development influences skills development
to provide strategies to nursery educators which they can share with parents to promote development across all areas
to discuss how teachers can deliver the key messages to parents about promoting child development

This 1 day training will allow practitioners to become upskilled in sharing with parents and carers the importance of healthy child development – RISE NI will cover the theoretical concepts typical child development and how practitioners can support this in the early years’ classroom. They will then model how to present these messages so teachers can cascade the information and strategies in their own nursery settings.
